Perplexity for social media: add a marketing department as a custom connector
Perplexity Pro lets you add custom connectors. Add Rebbel and ask about your brands or draft a post from a thread; nothing publishes until you approve it.
Perplexity is where a lot of people already go to research what to say. With Rebbel added as a custom connector, the same thread can reach your brand's guide and drafts. We set it up ourselves, on a Perplexity Pro account, before writing this.

What a custom connector is
Perplexity ships with a list of connectors it chose. On Perplexity Pro you can also add your own, by pasting a server address and signing in to that service. Rebbel isn't one of the connectors Perplexity lists; it's one you add yourself this way, and you can remove it whenever you like.
Perplexity asks you to acknowledge the risk before it adds a custom connector. It's worth reading, and it's worth reading Rebbel's privacy policy too before you sign in.
What Rebbel adds to Perplexity
Rebbel is a marketing department rather than a caption writer: a brand guide built from your website, a strategy from your goals, campaigns drafted in your brand's voice, and the social accounts you connect on rebbel.io. Type @Rebbel in a thread and Perplexity can call Rebbel's tools.
The rule that matters most doesn't change with the assistant you ask from: nothing publishes and no money is spent until you approve it, and that's checked on Rebbel's server, not by a setting you might forget.
What we checked, and what we didn't
On September 29, 2026 we added Rebbel to a Perplexity Pro account on the web, signed in and approved, and asked for our Rebbel brands. Perplexity listed them. Then we asked it to draft one post for one brand. Perplexity asked us to reply yes first; after we did, Rebbel drafted the post and left it waiting for review.
On a Free Perplexity account we checked, the Custom connector option wasn't there. We haven't tried Enterprise or Perplexity's apps, and we haven't approved or published from inside Perplexity. The setup page carries the date we last went through the steps.

Common questions
Is Rebbel in Perplexity's connector list?
No. Rebbel isn't one of the connectors Perplexity lists. You add it yourself as a custom connector and sign in to Rebbel to approve access.
Can Rebbel post from Perplexity without my approval?
No. In our test the drafted post waited for review; Rebbel's publish and schedule tools refuse anything that hasn't been approved first, whichever assistant you ask from.
Do I need a paid Perplexity plan?
We added Rebbel on Perplexity Pro. On a Free Perplexity account we checked, the Custom connector option wasn't there. Rebbel itself is free to start.
