How to add a marketing department to Muse as a custom connector
Muse lets you add custom connectors. Here is how to add Rebbel to Muse yourself, what Meta says about custom connectors, and how you approve every post.
Muse, Meta's personal agent, lets you add connectors it doesn't ship with. Meta calls them custom connectors and says it doesn't review them, so it's worth knowing exactly what you are granting before you select Connect.

What a custom connector is
Muse comes with a list of connectors. For a service that isn't on that list, Meta's help center says you can ask Muse to create a custom connector, and Muse guides you through it.
Meta is upfront about the trade: it doesn't review custom connectors or how they use your information, so you grant access with caution and read the provider's privacy policy. That applies to Rebbel too. Rebbel is not a Meta-approved connector; it is one you add yourself, and you can remove it whenever you like.
What Rebbel adds to Muse
Rebbel is a marketing department rather than a caption writer: a brand guide built from your website, a strategy from your goals, campaigns drafted in your brand's voice, and the accounts you connect on rebbel.io to publish to. Once Rebbel is added, Muse can call Rebbel's tools. The one thing we have tested from inside Muse is listing your brands, which only reads.
The rule that matters most does not change with the app you ask from: nothing publishes and no money is spent until you approve it, and that is checked on Rebbel's server, not by a setting you might forget. Muse has its own approval settings, which are Meta's; Rebbel's approval gate is separate and always on.
What we checked, and what we didn't
On September 26, 2026 we added Rebbel to a free Muse account this way, signed in and approved, and asked Muse to list our Rebbel brands, which it did. That is the only request we ran, and it only reads; we haven't tried drafting, approving or publishing from Muse.
Muse is new, and its screens, plans and limits are Meta's to change. The step-by-step guide carries the date we last went through it. Publishing itself goes through the accounts you connect in Rebbel, on rebbel.io.
Who it's for
- Owners and small teams who already use Muse and want to try Rebbel from it.
- Anyone who wants to approve every post before it goes out.
Set it up
- Send Muse a message with Rebbel's address and select Connect on the card it shows.
- Read Muse's notice, sign in to Rebbel and approve access.
- Ask Muse to list your Rebbel brands.
Good to know
- Rebbel is a custom connector you add yourself, not one Meta has approved or listed.
- Nothing is posted until you approve it.
- You can remove Rebbel from Muse at any time in Settings, under Connectors.
Common questions
Is Rebbel an official Muse connector?
No. Rebbel isn't listed by Meta. It's a custom connector you add yourself, and Meta says it doesn't review custom connectors, so grant access with caution.
Can Rebbel post from Muse without my approval?
No. Rebbel's publish and schedule tools refuse any post that hasn't been approved first, whether you ask from Muse or the dashboard.
Does it cost anything?
Rebbel is free to start, with a monthly generation allowance and no credit card. We tested on a free Muse account; Muse's own plans and limits are Meta's to set.
