What Rebbel's Facebook & Instagram permissions do

Rebbel requests the same permission set for both the Facebook and Instagram connect flows:

• business_management

  lets Rebbel find your Page automatically if you choose "all current and future Pages" instead of picking one — no extra step for you.

• email

  identifies your Meta account so Rebbel knows who connected.

• pages_show_list

  lets Rebbel see which Pages you manage, so you can pick the right one.

• pages_read_engagement

  reads your Page's recent posts to draft in your existing voice, and reads engagement (likes, comments, impressions) on posts Rebbel publishes so you can see how they're doing.

• pages_manage_posts

  the actual publish permission — required to post approved content to your Page. Nothing posts without your explicit approval in Rebbel first.

• pages_read_user_content

  reads your Page's recent posts and their comments, so the Performance page can show real numbers and "What people said" on each post.

• read_insights

  reads your Page's view counts for the Performance page.

• instagram_basic

  reads your linked Instagram account's basic profile, if you have one.

• instagram_content_publish

  the Instagram publish permission — same approval gate as pages_manage_posts.

• instagram_manage_insights

  reads your Instagram account's view and reach numbers for the Performance page.

• instagram_manage_comments

  reads comments on your Instagram posts for the "What people said" panel.

Connecting an ad account (optional, and only shown once your account is eligible) is a distinct step with its own permission request — ads_management, ads_read, pages_manage_ads. Rebbel already has business_management from connecting your Page above; you’re never asked for the ads-specific permissions just to connect a Page/Instagram account. See the ads account guide.
