Will AI post something embarrassing for my business?

A reasonable fear, and the honest answer: it depends on whether anything can publish without you. Here is what approval has to mean to be worth anything.

If you've tried an AI tool for social media, you've probably had the thought: what if it posts something wrong? A made-up fact, a deal you don't offer, a tone that isn't yours, under your business's name, for everyone to see. That fear is reasonable. Whether it's justified depends entirely on one question: can anything go out without you reading it?

The fear is reasonable

An AI draft can be wrong in ways that look right. It can state a price your site doesn't list, promise a turnaround you can't keep, or write in a voice that's confident and generic when yours is neither. None of that is a reason not to use the tool. It is a reason to be clear about who gets the last word.

A lot of tools answer this with a setting: "auto-publish: on/off." A setting can be flipped, forgotten, or defaulted. What you want is a rule that can't be.

What approval has to mean

For approval to be worth anything, three things have to be true. It has to be per post, not per account — you approve this post, not "posts in general." It has to be enforced where the publishing happens, so that no app, assistant or shortcut can route around it. And it has to be the same rule everywhere you work, so you don't have to remember which door is locked.

That is how Rebbel is built. Every post waits for your approval, and the publish and schedule steps refuse anything that hasn't been approved first — checked on Rebbel's servers, not just in the screen you're looking at. It doesn't matter whether you asked for the post from the dashboard, from your phone, or from an AI assistant like Claude. The same check runs.

What you actually review

You see the post as it will publish: the caption as written, the image or every slide of a carousel, and a line under it for the mechanics that aren't obvious from the words — that a link goes in the first comment on some channels, for instance. If something is off, ask for a change in plain words and a new version comes back for the same approval. If the idea was wrong, send it back.

Approval isn't a safety net for sloppy drafts. The drafting is done from your brand guide — built from your own website: your voice, your offers, what you never say — so most of what you read should already sound like you. Approving is the last step, not a repair job.

Where you approve from

On the web, from the post itself. On your phone, with the Rebbel app for iPhone and Android: you get a notification when a post is ready; swipe right to approve, or send it back with a note. Or from your AI assistant, if you've connected Rebbel there. Nothing publishes until you say so, from any of them.

What approval doesn't do

It doesn't read for you. A post can only be as right as what you check, so if a draft makes a claim you're not sure of, confirm it before you approve. And approving a post doesn't publish it on its own; an approved post publishes when you publish it or at the time you scheduled it, and not before.

Nothing in Rebbel publishes on autopilot, on any plan. That's the product.

Who it's for

  • Owners who want help with social media but want the last word on every post.
  • Anyone who has been burned, or is worried about being burned, by an automated post.

Set it up

  1. Paste your website on the home page and watch a real first post, in your brand's voice, in about ten seconds.
  2. Read it. Nothing publishes until you approve it.
  3. Connect a channel when you're ready; the Free plan includes one, with no card.

Good to know

  • No post publishes without your explicit OK, enforced on the server.
  • You approve each post individually; there is no "approve everything" switch.
  • Free is a real ongoing plan, not a trial.

Common questions

Can Rebbel post without me?

No. Every post waits for your approval, and the publish and schedule steps refuse a post that hasn't been approved, whichever surface you work from.

What if I approve something and it was wrong?

Approval means you read it and it's yours. Check any claim you're unsure of before approving; if you spot it after, edit or remove the post on the platform as you would any post. Rebbel doesn't change a post you've approved.

Can I approve from my phone?

Yes. The Rebbel app for iPhone (US) and Android notifies you when a post is ready; swipe right to approve, or send it back with a note.

Is there an autopilot mode on a higher plan?

No. The approval rule is the same on every plan.
