How to add a marketing department to Grok as a custom connector
Grok lets you add your own custom connectors on grok.com. Add Rebbel and draft, schedule and publish posts from a Grok chat. Nothing goes out until you say so.
Grok comes with a set of connectors built by xAI, and it also lets you add your own by pasting in a server address. Grok calls these custom connectors, and Rebbel is one you can add that way.

What a custom connector is
Grok's built-in connectors are the ones xAI makes. For anything else, grok.com lets you add a custom connector: you give it a name and a server address, then sign in to that service in a popup and allow access.
That makes it your call. You add Rebbel in Grok as a custom MCP connector, so it's worth reading Rebbel's privacy policy before you allow access.
What Rebbel adds to Grok
Rebbel is a marketing department rather than a caption writer: a brand guide built from your website, a strategy from your goals, campaigns drafted in your brand's voice, and the accounts you connect on rebbel.io to publish to. Once Rebbel is added, you can call it in a Grok chat by typing @Rebbel: draft posts, schedule them and publish to your connected accounts.
The rule that matters most does not change with the app you ask from: nothing goes out and no money is spent until you say so, and that is checked on Rebbel's server, not by a setting you might forget.
What to expect
On September 29, 2026 we added Rebbel to a free Grok account on grok.com, allowed access on Rebbel's page, and asked Grok to list our Rebbel brands, which it did in a few seconds. When we asked it to draft a post, Grok went ahead without asking us to confirm, and Rebbel drafted the post and left it waiting in our Rebbel account. Schedule it or post it now, and Rebbel publishes it.
Grok's screens and plans are xAI's to change, and the step-by-step guide carries the date we last went through it.
Who it's for
- People who already use Grok on grok.com and want to try Rebbel from it.
- Anyone who wants nothing to go out until they say so.
Set it up
- On grok.com, open Plugins, then Connectors, and add a new Custom connector with Rebbel's server address.
- Allow access on Rebbel's page when it opens.
- In a chat, type @Rebbel and ask for this week's posts.
Good to know
- Rebbel is a custom MCP connector you add yourself.
- Nothing goes out until you say so. Grok didn't ask before drafting in our setup, so drafts wait for you in Rebbel.
- These steps are for Grok on the web; it works on Grok's free plan.
Common questions
How do I add Rebbel to Grok?
You add it in Grok as a custom MCP connector with Rebbel's server address, then allow access on Rebbel's page.
Can Rebbel post from Grok without my OK?
No. Rebbel's publish and schedule tools refuse any post you haven't said yes to, whether you ask from Grok or the dashboard.
Does it cost anything?
Rebbel is free to start, with a monthly generation allowance and no credit card. We added Rebbel on a free Grok account; Grok's own plans and limits are xAI's to set.
